The “Tao Wessuwan” image at Wat Chulamanee is particularly significant. According to legend, Luang Phor Yit had a vision in which Tao Wessuwan took him on a tour of the underworld. In gratitude, Luang Phor Yit vowed to erect a statue of Tao Wessuwan at the temple. Following the advice in his vision, the statue was sculpted by a specific artist from Phetchaburi.
