Jatukam Ramathep Udomchoke Suvarnabhumi – Batch 108th Anniversary Edition

Ajahn Khunpan

Wat Mahathat

Release Year: BE 2549

Jatukam Ramathep, 108th Anniversary Edition of Pol. Maj. Gen. Khun Phantharak Rachadech (Ajahn Khunpan), made in BE 2548, but released in 2006 (BE 2549). Made from black herbal powder with sprinkled sacred wood and herb, diameter 5.7 cm. Beautiful condition.

This piece is a very collectible item in black material. It’s rare to get a chance to acquire one like this, since they are no longer available. The ones with hand-pressed sacred pills + takrut + Khun Phan’s hair already go for tens of thousands of baht, because they’re no longer obtainable. This edition is still somewhat affordable, but in time the price will definitely rise.

Based on the belief that “Jatu” means the four guardian deities of the directions, and “Ram Thep” means possessing divine power like the incarnation of Narai (Vishnu), the sacred object was thus created under the name “Thao Jatukam Ramathep, 108th Anniversary Edition” on the occasion of the 9th cycle (108 years) birthday merit celebration of Pol. Maj. Gen. Khun Phantharak Rachadech.

This batch of sacred amulets, Thao Jatukam–Thao Ramathep, was specially created in the mold of the “Udomchoke Pathom Arahant Suwannaphum 2005 (BE 2548)” series of powder-based amulets, but was not released for rent/worship at that time. The committee kept them instead, to be offered to temples during the 108-year 9-cycle merit-making of Pol. Maj. Gen. Khun Phantharak Rachadech in 2006 (BE 2549).
