Wat Huay Ngo, also known as Wat Hui Ngor or Wat Aran Wasikaram, is located in Moo 4, Thung Phla Subdistrict, Khok Pho District, Pattani Province, Thailand. Sometimes local people also call it Wat Luang Phor Sikaew or Wat Taksinsakhon.

The temple has been established since the Ayutthaya period in 1657 (B.E. 2200) and was officially consecrated in 1776 (B.E. 2319). Wat Huai Ngo has undergone development over many eras, with six abbots since its founding:

The first abbot, Luang Phor Chan, was the first to restore Wat Huai Ngo, constructing various religious structures and establishing the temple as a center for Buddhist activities. Luang Phor Chan was a highly respected monk, skilled in traditional medicine and proficient in sacred chants, earning the deep respect and faith of the local people.

The second abbot, Luang Phor Sikaew, was a disciple of Luang Phor Chan. He inherited many sacred teachings from his master.

The third abbot was Phra Athikan Chai.

The fourth abbot, Phra Athikan Phromkaew Thamma Suwanno, served during the period when the temple’s name was changed from its original name, “Wat Taksinsakhon,” to “Wat Aranyawasikaram” in 1938 (B.E. 2481) by the Department of Religious Affairs.

The fifth abbot, Phra Khru Paisan Thawakit (Phut Thaniyo), was a highly skilled monk in sacred rituals. He became one of the revered monks who participated in the consecration of the first batch of the famous Luang Phor Thuad amulet in 1954 (B.E. 2497).

The current abbot, Phor Than Khiew, is a respected monk, known for his kindness and dedication to preserving Buddhism. He is also proficient in sacred rituals, blessing powerful amulets that are highly revered by the community.

Overall, Wat Huai Ngo has had several dedicated abbots, skilled in sacred Buddhist rituals, which has fostered faith and led to the temple’s continued growth and prosperity.
