Nangkwak is a Goddess worshipped by merchant traders in India and Thailand, both Brahmans and Buddhists. This amulet or statue of the goddess Nangkwak is believed to increase wealth and prosperity in business. Nangkwak itself is often displayed in front of shops or places of business because it is believed to increase customers and sales. There are also those who display Nangkwak in Yantra cloth which is displayed in frames and hung in several places in the office.
