Phra Ruang is a legendary figure from Thai history, usually described as the founder of the first Thai kingdom who freed the people from the rule of the ancient Khmer Empire.

Ajahn Nam is the spiritual pride of southern Thailand and is one of its most respected teachers. He is a descendant of the Khao-Or College which also gave birth to many powerful teachers such as Ajahn Chum, Ajahn Khunpan, LP Kong etc. Even His Majesty King Rama IX oftenly visited Ajahn Nam.

The power of thought and blessing from Ajahn Nam is very strong. There was an incident where one of devotee asked him to bless his sick parents who were in America. Ajahn did a strange movement where he flicked a splash of holy water towards the window and not long he received a call from his father in America that his father suddenly woke up because there was a splash of water. Ajahn Nam was very strict about Vinaya/Monk rules so that all the amulets blessed by him strangely always broke when held by women, so he need to invited female nuns to participate in blessing the amulets so that these amulets could be worn by women.
