“If you talk about “King of Amulets”, people will refer to Somdej Amulet, and Wat Rakhang is the temple of the most famous Buddhist Monk of all time in Thailand, Ajahn Toh (aka. Somdej Toh), who created the Somdej amulet, which is currently the most expensive in Thailand.

In the year B.E. 2515, for the purpose of commemorating the 100th anniversary of Somdej Toh (who passed away 100 years ago in B.E. 2415), Wat Rakhang created one of the best “Mass-chanted Somdej” in Thailand, which invited 108 top monks.

This amulet is called “Somdej Roipee Wat Rakhang,” which contains a lot of ingredients from the legendary Somdej Ajahn Toh and many holy powders. The leader of the ceremony was LP Toh Wat Pradoochimplee (one of the most famous monks and also the spiritual teacher of His Highness King Rama IX).

During the ceremony, LP Toh Wat Pradoochimplee said, “I saw Ajahn Toh come to this hall and bless the amulet together with us.” Hence, LP Toh once said that this Somdej (power) can be equivalent to Ajahn Toh’s legendary Somdej.”
