The meaning of “Laap Phon Poon Tawee” is Good Luck, Wealth Attraction, and Peaceful Life.

LP Dun, or Luangphor Doon of Wat Burapharam, Surin Province, was a highly revered monk, following in the footsteps of his teachers, Luangphor Sao and Luangphor Mun, who were famous Vipassana meditation masters in the Northeastern region of Thailand. Luangphor Dun attained arahantship, just like his teachers. In 1983, he passed away at 96 years old, and during the royal cremation, his ashes miraculously transformed into relics, astounding the entire nation.

Luangphor Doon’s amulets and sacred objects are widely sought after due to their reputed power to bring loving-kindness, protection, and prosperity to those who venerate them. They are increasingly rare, with some models fetching thousands of baht.

In 1990, Wat Burapharam created an amulet coin depicting Luangphor Doon, named the “Larp-Phon-Poon-Thawi” batch, then invited Luangphor Sam of Wat Pa Trai Wiwek to consecreate it. This coin was meticulously crafted with exquisite artistry and design. It is an oval-shaped coin, with a half-body image of Luangphor Doon facing forward engraved in the center on the front side, with his name “Luangphor Doon Attuloh” inscribed below. The reverse side features a sacred yantra (magical script) in the center, with the words “Larp Phon Poon Thawi, Wat Burapharam, Surin Province 1990” inscribed along the curved edge.

Then, the coin was handed over to Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara, the Supreme Patriarch, for a solo blessing ceremony, followed by several grand and important consecration rituals.
