note: In some other sources, there are claims that the consecration ceremony (Phutthaphisek) for Luang Pu Thuad, Wat Huay Mongkol, the Miracle Batch, was blessed by 19,999 monks or even 22,500 monks. These claims are incorrect and exaggerated; they are not credible. The correct number is 5,000 monks.

In 2006 (BE 2549), Phra Ajarn Phairoj created an extraordinary work – the supreme sacred amulet of Phra Nirantarai Luang Phor Thuad, “Miracle Batch”. In this era, no one could compare to him. He had studied deeply and thoroughly, knowing well that many types of sacred ingredients possessed inherent spiritual powers, and when used to create amulets, they embodied countless protective and auspicious qualities.

When these amulets were further consecrated through sacred chanting and meditation (abhiseka) by revered masters with great spiritual knowledge, their potency was multiplied many times over. The design of the amulet itself was sharp and beautifully detailed, comparable to the legendary Luang Phor Thuad amulets made by Phra Ajarn Tim of Wat Chang Hai, Pattani, in 1954 (B.E. 2497), those original amulets are now world-famous and valued at hundreds of thousands of baht each, with some rare specimens in perfect condition reaching prices of millions. Yet, even at such value, collectors still sought to worship them, because of the belief that Luang Phor Thuad, the monk who “stepped on seawater and turned it fresh,” was a saintly figure with miraculous powers who could protect his devotees from danger and prevent untimely death.

Collectors who were not alive during that earlier era could not obtain the originals, nor could they always distinguish real from counterfeit. Thus, they eagerly awaited which temple might issue new creations. When they saw Luang Phor Thuad’s “Miracle Batch” from Wat Huay Mongkol, they did not hesitate to acquire it. It quickly became one of the most popular sacred objects of the modern era. As for its spiritual power, there is no doubt—numerous reports tell of wearers surviving car crashes, overturned vehicles, and other life-threatening accidents, walking away unharmed. These miracles caused great excitement among witnesses and reinforced faith in its protective blessings.

The Luang Phor Thuad “Miracle Batch” amulet of Wat Huay Mongkol, is also known as Luang Phor Thuad “Miraculous Signature Edition”.  On the back of the amulet is the engraved signature along with inscribed incantations, making this edition truly unique. As a result, these amulets are believed to be filled with extraordinary Buddhist virtues, ensuring blessings and protection for their owners.

Most importantly, the consecration ceremony (Phutthaphisek) of Luang Pu Thuad at Wat Huay Mongkol was monumental: 5,000 monks gathered in meditation and chanting to bless the amulets, marking one of the most historic consecrations in Thai amulet history.

For the grand consecration, His Majesty the King granted the Royal Fire for the ceremony, with Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi presiding as the chairperson. The lighting of the main victory candle (Thian Chai) was performed by Phra Phrom Wethi of Wat Traimitr on December 25, 2006 (B.E. 2549). A total of 5,000 monks simultaneously recited Buddhist prayers and entered deep meditation to empower the amulets, the largest gathering in Thai history for the consecration of sacred objects.

Thus, the Luang Phor Thuad “Miraculous Edition” of Wat Huay Mongkol is considered to possess supreme spiritual power, a fact acknowledged even by the most skeptical.
