Ajahn Daeng Wat Rai (also known as Luang Por Daeng) was a highly respected Thai Buddhist monk who lived in the 20th century. He is abbot of Wat Rai Bang Tawa, Pattani province. He is renowned for his deep meditation practice and his teachings on Vipassana (insight meditation) and Dhamma (Buddhist teachings). Ajahn Daeng is associated with Wat Rai in Thailand, where he practiced and taught.

His teachings emphasized mindfulness, compassion, and the cultivation of wisdom through meditation. Ajahn Daeng’s influence extended beyond Thailand, as his teachings attracted practitioners and followers from around the world who sought spiritual guidance and instruction in Buddhist meditation techniques.

He was born in the Year of the Rooster, November 9, 1969 (or BE2512 Buddhist year), and ordained as a monk at the age of 24 under the preceptor LP Sook Wat Mujarintawpi (aka LP Suk Wat Tuyong), He has now been on monasticism for over 30 years.

He studied meditation techniques using the LP Lersi Lingdam Wat Tha Sung Method, as well as the LP Sodh Wat Paknam Method. Ajahn Daeng is famous for his LP Tuad amulets, Metmors, and Bullet Takruts.
