Ajahn Chah is one of Thailand’s Great Arahant (the highest achievement of a monk in Buddhism) and very respected by many thai people. As a direct disciple of the Great Ajahn Mun Buridatto  (#1 Dhammayut Monk – forest monk tradition), AjahnChah is famous for his Dhamma teaching and often invited to give a lecture in many events. There were many famous western monks learned under AjahnChah, such as AjahnSumedho, AjahnBrahm, etc.
